Cataract Surgery

Cataract surgery is most commonly done eye procedure. Cataract usually occurs with the growing age when the lens inside the eye gets cloudy and the vision cannot be restored by the sunglasses anymore. If not treated timely it can cause loss of vision and blindness. With the modern eye surgery procedures, eye surgery is an uncomplicated surgical procedure with less hospital time and quick recovery period.

PHACOemulsification Cataract Surgery

In Phaco procedure eye lens is emulsified with ultrasound waves and then suctioned out safely. It is a very safe procedure that is done with smaller incisions. Intraocular lens is inserted securely in the place of the eye’s lens that has been removed. Due to smaller incision unlike other cataract surgery, the healing process is faster.

 

MICS (Micro Incision Cataract Surgery)

It is a very sophisticated cataract eye surgery. With a minimal incision that is less than 1.5 mm, MICS is the most modern eye cataract surgery. Due to it less invasiveness it prevents postoperative corneal abnormalities.

 

SICS (Small Incision Cataract Surgery)

SICS is a suture less cataract surgery that is a safer option with improved efficacy. It is a cost-effective surgery with lesser postop complications and faster cure.

 

IOL Explantation

IOL Explantation is the procedure that is done when the lens is not placed correctly in the previous cataract surgery, got dislocated after the surgery or the visual result of the lens is not satisfying. Extraction of the old lens and then placement of a new lens is a complicated procedure but when done by the expert and skilled surgeon is totally trauma free.

 

IOL Exchange Procedure

In IOL Exchange Procedure the original eye lens is exchanged with artificial lens for improved vision and most commonly to cure and farsightedness. It is a small procedure, but the healing time can last up to three to four weeks. The lens lasts a lifetime with a low risk of regression
